Little Explorers Preschool is a unique, high quality childcare provision based in Worle, Weston-super-Mare. Our days include a variety of child and adult led activities such as, forest school, woodwork, story time, arts & crafts, music & movement, singing, messy play and construction etc. We believe children learn best through play and exploration, spending a lot of time outdoors.

Stimulating activities are delivered in a way that takes into consideration each child's interests, preferred learning style, age and stage of development. We utilise a variety of experiences every day, which range from looking for bugs in the garden, to helping prepare snacks, to sharing feelings, monitoring the weather etc.
Services
Little Explorers offer term time sessions for pre-school children, between the ages of 2 - 4 years. We accept Early Years Funding which enables eligible 2 year olds and all 3-4 year olds to access up to 30 hours of childcare per week free of charge. Please note we do not accept funding for Breakfast Club as this includes cereal, toast etc.
Cheryl graduated from the University of the West of England having trained as a Learning Disabilities Nurse. Cheryl then worked in this role for four years. She holds a Btec National Diploma in Early Years, level one in British Sign Language and has 10 years worth of experience working with children.
Our aim is to provide a safe & nurturing learning environment, whereby every child is given the individual support they require to enable them to thrive and reach their full potential. We believe children learn best through play and exploration, in order to build a firm foundation for future learning.
We provide a wide range of resources for indoor play appropriate to the ages and stages of the children's learning and development. There are both free play and adult led activities on offer which includes, craft, messy play, construction and playing with the light box, dark den, and at the literacy & mathematics stations.
Parents are the earliest educators in their children's lives. The Department for Education (2011) recognises that effective partnership working with parents is based on the notion of equality that allows both sides to reach joint decisions when it comes to setting goals for the future and how to achieve these.
