Psychotherapy In The City Of London
I am a consultant clinical psychologist, psychotherapist, media contributor and activist drawing on psychoanalysis, psychology and social theory to help individuals and, I hope, groups, suffer less and live more fully. My main focus is one-to-one work with clients, working together to make life more bearable, and fun.

I contribute to print, broadcast and social media to provide nuanced, depth thinking about the psyche. I write, speak and research with a focus on the psychosocial, trauma, language and the unconscious. I am involved in activism to try to improve mental health provision, and society's understanding of mental distress.
Services
I have been working in mental health for twenty years, the last fifteen of these as a therapist. I love my work and I have always taken care to spend the majority of my week with clients once becoming senior (relatively unusually). I have a long-standing commitment to LGBTQI+ affirmative therapy, intersectionality and working with people from oppressed communities.
Activism is core to both my personal and professional identity. Psychology and Psychotherapy are very powerful ideas at this point in history, being used both for good and, often inadvertantly, for harm. If i can use my social power, clinical experience and research skills to assist grassroots organisations, or survivor groups, I will.
