I just wanted to send a message to all members and guests following a fantastic Captains Weekend. I thought Saturday was a great day, well organised (even the weather) and supported magnificently by our members. Lesley, Stuart, Sharon, Michael Jnr and Denise worked exceptionally hard to keep us fed and watered with a brilliant spread of food.

Thanks must also go to our Club Manager Michael for his efforts behind the scenes pulling things together. Finally I would like to congratulate Mick Mcgann for everything he has done this year and for putting on an amazing show for our members. There is a great atmosphere at our club at the moment and long may it continue, here's hoping the rest of 2021 is as successful.

Jackpot Joker Report

The Jackpot Joker is a members only draw that takes place every 2nd Sunday. Tickets are available to members from behind the bar and are 1 each, you can buy as many as you like. If you have the winning ticket you will win a 3rd of the ticket income for that period and have the opportunity to choose a card from the Jackpot Joker board to try and find the Joker.and the Jackpot.

As a result of those care and support needs is unable to protect themselves from either the risk of, or the experience of, abuse or neglect. Empowerment: People being supported and encouraged to make their own decisions and informed consent.

Contact SGC Welfare Officer Report

The role of the Welfare Officer is to take the lead in the Club on welfare and protection issues and ensure the appropriate action is taken when there is a potential /alleged abuse, bullying or poor practice. It is not their role to investigate fully any allegations made. The Welfare Officer will undertake Child Protection training provided by national golfing bodies and others.

Seniors Section Report

There is a small additional fee for the Seniors Section of 4 which covers additional prizes during the year. To join Seaham Golf Club, please contact the Club Manager (Michael Trippett) on 0191 581 1268. I hope you are all well and either vaccinated or due a vaccination soon! Here is some information about our coming season for the seniors' section.

Continue straightforward over the next two roundabouts. At the third roundabout take the second exit to Dawdon (past the Seaham Dock entrance on the right) and then under the railway bridge into Mount Stewart Street. Go straight ahead at the mini-roundabout, then at the top of the road turn to the right - Shrewsbury Street.

Seniors Open, bit hilly, weary on my old legs, some really nice holes, we all enjoyed the day (14 in the company). Cosy Club House, nice food. Back next year.

Greens in immaculate condition. Some challenging holes on both front and back nines, making for a real test of any players ability.
Lovely views from the top on a clear day. Good fun had by all - looking forward to returning.

Went today with my son , first time I’ve been in 10 years. The staff were friendly and professional and were really welcoming. The course was in excellent condition and members on the course were helpful and friendly, can’t wait to go back 👍🏌🏼

Nice course (shame about the weather but they can't help that). A couple of the holes cross eachothers paths and are a little too close together in my opinion.
