The Club Report

A members club founded in 1908 which prides itself on its reputation for being a family orientated club with its strong links to the local community. The importance of treating everyone who plays at and visits the club with courtesy and respect under pins the true values of the club. Houghton-le Spring Golf Club aims to create a truly memorable golfing experience for all to enjoy.

Club Facilities Report

The quality 18-hole golf course is supported by a superb state of the art 6-hole Academy short course, covered driving bays and a well-stocked pro shop. The club provides a spacious club house, welcoming bar and restaurant providing a great atmosphere in which to discuss the day's events.

Our state of the art 6-hole Academy Course with practice facilities with 5 artificial greens and one grass green with practice bunker can be used by either the improving golfer, the absolute beginner or just to try golf.Offering a 225 yard driving facility the 3 covered driving bays afford members and visitors the ability to warm up prior to their round, or simply to work on improving their game.

Very nice course but winter tee's on and you must play before 1pm at this time of year. My eyesight isn't the best anyway and we played the last in almost darkness but definitely worth a return visit come summer.

Very friendly staff visitor green fees very reasonable. Weather not great course itself heavy in places due to heavy rain fall. greens were immaculate will definitely return excellent day

Fantastic day, staff very helpful after we had booked through Golfnow, only to find out there was no visitors allowed, members only, since we had paid for a 4 ball online, they allowed us to take a vacant tee time, excellent service.

Great little find whilst in a work trip. First 3 holes are a little farmers field ish but then the course really does come through with some fantastic holes. Very well groomed course, wont be disappointed if you play here

Wonderful course prices are ok we will return again
The tee offs and greens are well looked after and some greens are very fast Fairway are ok too bunkers are spit on very clean and well maintained
Our only down fall was the weather
But well done to the staff that look after this golf course
