At Soul Mind Therapy, my specialism is working with clients who need help with anxiety and relationship issues. Whether you are struggling due to problems created by difficulties in relationships, depression, low self-esteem, stress, PTSD, generalised, social or relationships anxiety or any other mental and emotional health issues, I am here to help.
Anxiety can often be misunderstood and so your reaction to these feelings can bring many struggles. Whilst it is rooted in fear, anxiety is exaggerated worrying, like an 'infected fear', and even though it appears to be there to protect us, anxiety ends up doing the opposite, impacting upon our ability to function, keeping us trapped and emotionally paralysed.

Emotional distress or anxiety and depression are the two common problems that many people face. Let it be trauma, painful experiences or unsettling memories, anything that feels as if it covers everything like a dark cloud and which can lead to depression, they can all be dealt with in therapy. I always dreamt of bringing a positive change in the life of those who feel completely lost or may just need a little help through a 'hard patch'.
This approach focuses on your thoughts and behaviours, looking at relationship patterns developed from childhood, and how these make you feel in the 'here and now'. Counselling is a safe place to work things out through conversation that is gently guided by your therapist, offering you the time to offload and look at different ways of coping with your thoughts and emotions.
There is clear evidence that psychotherapy, especially in combination with hypnotherapy, can treat diagnosed conditions such as depression, phobias, post traumatic stress, personality disorders, eating disorders, etc. But its role is not limited to this. A wide range of difficulties with feelings and behaviour can be explored and understood, leading to profound, lasting change.
The right partner for you is out there; it may be your current love and you just need to improve your relationship or you are yet to find them. Changing repeating unhealthy patterns in your relationships with your loved ones will take some work. But it will worth it. And it is much easier to do this when you come from a place of self worth and confidence.
Don't feel that before you make contact with me you have to fully understand why you are feeling this way or whether you are suffering due to stress, generalised anxiety, a phobic response or even a panic attack. All of these issues and many others are based upon exaggerated fear of some sort; as a psychotherapist, very often I see stress and anxiety coming together.
