If you would prefer however to use FaceTime and WhatsApp video calls for counselling sessions I am happy to do that instead. My standard fee is 50 but I am happy to offer a fee of 30 to anyone whose circumstances are causing financial difficulty. If a 50 min session seems a long time to concentrate at the moment, a shorter session can be arranged with a pro rata fee. Relationship issues are of particular interest to me, both those in the workplace and those in the family setting. People tend to replicate childhood behaviour in adult life which is not always helpful.

My approach to counselling is to tailor the way I work to your needs, to find out from you what is not working in your life and to help you find ways to make useful and effective changes. Counselling is an informal discussion carried out in a comfortable and confidential setting without interruptions. You will not be forced to disclose anything you don't want to though being honest is best. It is not about being given advice but about being helped to find the best way for you to navigate your way through your difficulties with skilled professional support.
Remember anger is a normal human emotion, it is how we express it that needs to be managed. As children, we are told it is wrong to get angry, but if we have healthy self-respect we will of course feel angry sometimes. It is an impossible expectation to get through life without feeling angry and if we think it is wrong to feel it we will feel a failure every time we succumb to it.
Depression is a horrible feeling. If you are suffering from depression you may know why started it or you may be mystified by its arrival. It may be in response to a life event, a bereavement or the break up of a relationship which leaves you feeling out of control and as if your future has been taken away from you.
Relationships are curious things - they can begin so well then suddenly change and no longer give the pleasure they once did. However, therapy can help to improve things between you. At first when we meet someone we are attracted to we think they are wonderful, that they have all the qualities we really love.
