The Lodge is comfortable with a contemporary cottage style atmosphere, situated in a Hamlet surrounded by beautiful scenery, wildlife and woodland walks, easily accessible to the surrounding country pubs, main shopping areas and attactions of the victorian town of Barrow in Furness, the small historic town of Dalton in Furness and the Lake District.

The Yellow Room is our largest and most luxurious room. It has a king size victorian half tester bed and is tastefully decorated with beautiful wallpaper, fabrics and antique furniture. It has a spacious ensuite shower room, north and south facing windows which look over the balcony into the rear garden.
The breakfast is served in the conservatory overlooking the garden, except in the winter mornings when it is served in the sitting room by the cosy window seat. All our bacon and sausages are sourced from local producers, and local free range eggs. Our breakfast menu is extensive and if you cannot find what you want we will endeavour to get it for you.
Millwood Lodge was originally a farmhouse, some parts dating back to the late 17th century. In the late 1850's the Duke of Buccleugh commissioned the building of Millwood Manor as a residence for his land and mineral agent Edward Wadham - completed in 1860. At this time Millwood Lodge became the gate house with the addition of stables, two coach houses and above these the estate offices.
