It was overall good, excellent views and very close to the promenade and a short walk to the town centre.
However the toilets where absolutely disgusting, toilet roll low or empty in some cubicles and not to mention the smell, I've had cleaner wees in bushes.
The noise after 10pm was also really loud, the owner came on the land after 10 and said nothing to the noise culprits, also the police turned up to deal with another guest, I get that it's a Bank Holiday weekend but surely there should be limits to people blasting music til gone midnight on a campsite?

We actually stayed at Low Fell campsite, which is run by the same family. Amazing location on the edge of Grange over sands, the views over Arnside and Morecambe Bay were stunning. A five minute drive takes you to Cartmel or you can walk there via the Cistercian way over Hampsfield fell.
The couple who own the site were welcoming, friendly and informative and though it has basic facilities, it's a credit to them. Cant wait to go back.

The £17 price charged for a single night for a small tent, one person and one bicycle is simply outrageous! Having just completed a circular and lengthy tour of the Lakes, this campsite was over 50% dearer than any I stayed at and was the worst--by a considerable measure. There are very few level pitches and facilities are meagre and shabby. To be fair, the toilet bowls and wash basins were fairly clean, but the paintwork was chpped and the walls and doors looked as if they may never have been wiped down.
Perhaps the owner feels that a Grange over Sands location should attract a premium? Maybe

Amazing views.

Camping has now ended here as the site is being redeveloped to provide lodging accommodation.
The site had seen a lack maintenance for the past year or so ,which was evident as 2 of the 4 toilets have been out of service all year and the whole facility was looking past its best. Shame, as when we first came 5 years ago it was the best site in the area. Still time and profits margins move on.

This is an OK site at best. The showers are clean and warm and the view is great. The hill / slope you get to camp on is ridiculous. We were in a tent and had trouble standing without falling due to slope. Couldn't cook as our stove kept sliding down the table. I have stayed in 5 star rated sites with a park for kids and a club house for less money per night. Very expensive for what you get. Won't be back
