You won't find them anywhere else in the world! We believe that timeless design is always modern and that true beauty gets better with age.
Not only is it great knowing where your shoes are made, it's also pretty cool to see who makes them and who is here to help from start to finish!. She's been with us for 4 years now and continues to make our customers and employees smile. She spends most of her day trotting around saying hello to everyone or lying flat out in the walkway hoping to get some snacks or a belly rub.
If you choose to come and visit us we also specialise in beautiful fair trade fashion. We stock natural fibre clothing from well known ethical brands People Tree, UCM, SKFK, Bibico and Eribe. We also stock a very wide range of colourful tights from European companies Cecilia De Rafael, Swole Panda and Falke.
All our styles follow the natural shape of the foot allowing your feet to spread out providing great comfort and stability. We offer a range of soles including four zero-drop options which can be put onto any of our styles, whether you want a winter boot or summer sandal. Zero-rise means the sole is completely flat.
Conker was established in 1977 and since then we have been making leather shoes in our Devon workshop. We are now situated in the heart of the beautiful town of Totnes. We only have one workshop which located behind our highstreet shop.

A year ago as a memento of living in Totnes I treated myself to some gorgeous, comfortable, stylish boots. They weren’t waterproof, and despite the brogue extra layer, my toes got wet in early morning dew. But I loved them. Within 6 months the super-soft comfy sole had worn through with no tread left. Conker generously offered half-price re-soling so I sent them off and opted for the more hard-wearing sole. After TWO MONTHS they were finally ready and posted back to me. Today after a 9 mile walk my feet are blistered and broken. I’m so utterly disappointed; I cannot believe I paid £285 plus

I’ve just received an incredible pair of pastel bespoke boots from Conker. They are beautifully crafted and make me smile! I took quite a while choosing the different colours as I’m pretty indecisive but the communication was brilliant and they posted samples for me to choose from. I had the most amazing pair of bespoke shoes, from Conker Shoe Company, quite a few years ago. If I have one regret in my life, it's throwing them away, during a 'clear out', as I haven't found a pair to match, anywhere near their standard since. From start to finish, the customer service I received, was excellent, and the boots were amazing, lasted several years, before I regretfully chucked them out. As I don't live anywhere near Totnes, it was all done through the post, and I'm hoping to buy another pair, in the near future, which will probably last for the rest of my life. As I have unusal

Fantastic new shoes, lovely red ankle boots. Very comfortable to walk in. Ordering process was very easy with so much choice from colour of the leather, to the colour of the laces and stitching. And so many soles to choose from. Delivery was on time. A plus from me was that they could be made in my size, rather large. Might buy another pair in a different colour for the winter.

Oh my! I have just received my customised barefoot boots and they are amazing!
I cannot rate this shop enough. From the minute I phoned, their customer service was fantastic. I was sent samples of the leather I was interested in, I was able to customise my boots down to the stitching and they were fitted to my exact foot size.
I will definitely be buying from them again!

Seriously high quality footwear, made just for you 🙂 You may consider them expensive, but for the craftsmanship, quality, and longevity of their work, plus the originality (you can have any colour in any combination you like!) these work out cheaper (per year of wear) than many well-known branded offerings. And I haven't even mentioned sustainable ethics....
