Chuckle Shoes are a long established shoemaker offering bespoke adult and children's shoes, boots and sandals, all handmade from natural leather & crepe rubber and synthetic vegan materials at our workshop in Exeter. Our expert shoemaking techniques allow us to provide greater comfort for everybody and especially people suffering a variety of foot problems. From the initial biomechanical assessment of the feet to the high quality stitching, every aspect of our shoe production is carried out with the greatest precision, making the finished product both very comfortable and hard wearing.

Feet function at their best when behaving as nature intended - weight evenly distributed over both feet and ideally on a flat surface. Obviously in todays lifestyles this is not always possible at the best of times and even more so where podiatric problems have developed or occurred.

My children are now 23 and 21 and have real pasty feet and when they were little it was a nightmare finding shoes. They loved their chuckle shoes, they were comfy and excellent value for money. Jump forward we… now have the next generation of wide footers, so Thursday this week I took my 22 month old granddaughter to have some boots made. Super service, very knowledgeable and her first words when she saw her new boots were WOW gramma!!! When I left her house last night she was in Jim jams and still had her boots on - well done guys xx

I have quite complicated problems with my feet which I discussed with Barry. I'm a doctor and I understand how the problems needed to be dealt with and in Barry I found a real expert in all aspects of foot , Achilles and gait issues. I'm very impressed by his knowledge and problem solving as I am with the boots he made for me and the aftercare.

Barry is a magician with shoes and boots. He and his team have made me the most comfortable pairs of boots. I have odd legs and slightly different feet. They made me three pairs of perfect boots. The whole experience of getting measured, trying the boots and taking them away was a pleasure. Thank you all, I'll be back.
