Here at Smart Start Day Nursery Sutton Coldfield we want children to feel loved and secure in the absence of their parents, to recognise other adults as a source of help, friendship and authority and to be able to share with their parents the new learning experiences enjoyed at nursery. All children are taught the value of Friendship, Honesty, Sharing and most importantly Respect for others.
Our bright welcoming nursery is spread between two units at the same location. We have a dedicated baby unit consisting of three rooms, taking six babies in each room creating a homely environment. Our top unit provides a stimulating, exciting environment for 2 year olds up to and including pre-school.
As a nursery, we wanted to offer our pre-school children a different experience and way of learning that offered more freedom and a chance to explore our local, natural environment and use nature's resources. Martin 'the music man' visits us 6 times a month to play guitar and sing with the children.
At Smart Start Day Nursery we run forest school sessions as part of our Sutton Park outdoor preschool experience. These sessions are included within nursery fees. Our Forest School sessions enable children to explore the outdoors and create new experiences from which to learn. With staff guidance, they can enjoy the outdoors and our local natural environment.
Here at Smart Start Day Nursery we know the importance of a healthy balanced diet! Our dedicated team of kitchen staff provide fresh food daily brought in from local sources. All fruit & vegetables are sourced from Hay Head Farm Shop, Aldridge. All fresh meat is sourced from Pat's Butchers, Little Aston and delivered in refrigerated vehicles.

This nursery is amazing, my baby has turned into a little girl and the staff who have cared for her have watched her turn from a baby to a little girl. She loves going to nursery and has made some very special friends. I would recommend to anybody who is trying to decide where to sent their children. The staff are so thoughtful in their daily activities too, its just great xx

We definitely recommend this nursery! Nathan loves going to the nursery and we feel confident leaving him there as we know he is in good hands. Staff is always smiling and they take good care of Nathan. He is learning new things all the time which is great! Every day we can t wait for the staff to update on their app new things about Nathan and also to show us pictures with him having fun at the nursery. One thing that is missing to this nursery are the live webcams,but I think here in the Uk are not as common as they are in other countries.

Smart start has proven to be one of the best nurseries we've experienced, the staff truly care about the wellbeing and development of the children from all perspectives.The encouragement, nurturing and guidance the children receive is evident in their behaviour and achievements. The bonds that the children develop both with each other and with their key workers is testament to the knowledge, experience and professionalism of the team.

We found that the task of choosing the right place and the right people to leave the most valuable person in your world quite daunting. From the very first visit we were blown away by the staff at Smart Start and how much of a family feel it has. Our child has been with Smart Start since he was 9 months old and will leave shortly to go to school and we couldn’t have wished for a better nursery. We're always really pleased with this happy nursery. We feel completely confident leaving her with them and know that they'll care for her very well. She has developed extremely well, which we put a large part down to the experiences that she has at Smart Start. The staff always seem happy to welcome her through the door and have a great relationship with the children.

Smart Start is a lovely Nursery, the carers are all fantastic and spend a lot of time to make it an exceptional learning environment - with lots of fun as well of course. Both of our children love it. As parents, we particularly love the online eLog system where you can view photos of your children taking part in activities and playing as part of their learning journey - Highly recommended. My daughter has been going to Smart Start since she was 10 months old - she is now 3 and absolutely loves going to nursery. The staff who work with my daughter know her really well, paying so much attention to her at nursery and even in her home life. The food is very heathy and my daughter is always excited to go to nursery for breakfast. Another fantastic addition to the educational care is the music man and Spanish teacher that visit weekly. We are really pleased with our choice of nursery and will be sad to say goodbye when my daughter goes to school.
