We were founded over 26-years-ago by the Ackers family; this means family and community have always been at the heart of Seesaws. We believe in making sure all those that are part of the Seesaws family feel valued and nurtured to enable them to truly flourish. We place children at the centre of everything we do.
Services
We pride ourselves on being just like a family; and like all loving families, we want the best for our family members. But, what's our story? Meet our founder, Lady Jayne Ackers. Jayne obtained a Bachelor of Education Degree at Bath University, and became a secondary school teacher in both Child Development and Home Economics.
We understand that placing your child in the care of another can be daunting, but like you, we want the best for your child. At Seesaws, we provide an atmosphere similar to that of home so that you can relax in the knowledge that your child is being given constant care and individual attention by our qualified staff.
Supporting children and young people in their early development can be deeply rewarding. By completing the apprenticeship, you will gain an understanding of the early years' environment and the requirements of the profession. Seesaws work alongside 'GFT Training' (GFT). Throughout the programme, you will receive 1-to-1 guidance and support from a GFT personal assessor, who will visit you on a regular basis.
Our staff are qualified NNEB/NVQ3 or equivalent and their commitment to excellence is recognised by our OFSTED reports. Seesaws has a policy of employing only qualified staff, and so we run an excellent training scheme for staff, which is nationally recognised as setting high standards of Child Care training at NVQ's level 2 and 3, through CACHE.
Children in Need, Jeans for Genes, MacMillan Cancer Support, Teenage Cancer Trust, Memory Walk for Alzheimers, Cystic Fibrosis, Comic Relief, Wear Pink Breast Cancer Awareness. Our Birmingham nurseries proudly work with Startwell to promote a healthy lifestyle and environment within our Seesaws families.

After an incident with my little boy during holiday club summer 2020 which was held at Avenue road, I believe both members of staff involved lack the empathy required to work with children. My children have not been back since that day and I have no intention of sending them or any other child from my family. I feel for the children that they are “caring” for and their parents who are completely oblivious to how cruel these two can be. After almost a year and half I still feel so let down and disappointed by the people I trusted to take care of my children.

I just wanted to leave a review for any other parent looking for a nursery,
I sent my son to this nursery because his cousins which the oldest is now 11 both went here,
And I am so glad I did! The manager Jayne is still the manager so that in itself speaks volumes and she and the lovely lovely staff at the nursery are amazing and so accommodating and especially during these hard times (covid) they have all been absolutely amazing!
I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone!
Thank you so much to all the lovely staff at seesaws x

my daughter has been coming here since she was 8 months old and had her last day today, now 4 and a half ready for big school in September, she has grown in to the kindest caring, most funny little girl, and i cant say this place did not help, she loved every day that she was here growing and learning new things, the rooms are all… amazingly decorated for diffrent ages and themes, the garden is an outdoor adventure zone, the girls/staff are incredible with such big hearts, she was always learning new things every day, making memories and friends! managers are always there,

Seesaws (avenue road) is simply the best nursery. Jayne and the girls are amazing. My little girl has been attending Seesaws for the past 3 years. We have thoroughly enjoyed being part Seesaws family and will miss the smiley welcome and friendly faces we saw every day from the first moment we met you. I cannot put into words how thankful we are… for the amazing support, care, nurturing ways and fun loving environment which you have provided to Cienna during her time with you. Thank you for helping her grow into a bright, kind, polite, sociable and confident little girl that she is today

My little girl was at seasaws avenue rd Erdington almost 3yrs & has now left to start reception in September. We could of taken her out and gone for a sch nursery instead, but for us we wouldn't even think about it. She loved her time there & we loved it as much as her. Jayne (manager)& the whole team are so caring & work hard to make the children & parents happy. The activities & meals are well planned and varied. Kayla started as a shy girl & now is full of confidence ready for sch thanks to the help of all the staff. We will miss you all xx

My little one started seasaws (Wylde Green) at 5 months old, I hated the idea of him being away from me but Hanna did an amazing job from day one and much as I missed him I never had a single worry. Seasaws were there throughout every step of his development and I can't thank them enough. From learning to walk, talk and even starting to read they helped me give him the best start and he took to school like a duck to water. Of course he still goes back to holiday club and will do for years to come :)
