Make an appointment for yourself or ask me any questions you have by calling 07841 203 or emailing annya@annya-stoddart.co.uk. My Stowmarket based Pain Relief Clinic offers professional acupuncture treatment and a needle free alternative - Alphastim. When you book an appointment, together we'll review your health history and I'll work out an appropriate treatment programme for you.

Sometimes this is just acupuncture, sometimes it includes 'Gua Sha' (a type of deep tissue massage) or the Alphastim. Often it will include dietary or lifestyle advice including simple exercises for you to do at home. I'm a highly trained and experienced acupuncturist, with a background in teaching yoga, meditation, aerobic exercise and weight training.
Services
Consultation and treatment sessions are 50. Many insurance companies pay for acupuncture treatment so if you have a health policy, check to see if it will cover you. Consultation involves taking your full health history (please bring your list of medication if you have one).

Your treatment will include one or more of the following therapies: acupuncture, cupping, guasha (fascial release massage, Chinese style), microcurrent (Alphastim), postural assessment, exercise advice and coaching and dietary advice.Acupuncture tends to have a cumulative effect, so while it is not unknown for a problem to be improved within one or two treatments, the best results can require a few more.
Alpha-stim uses Microcurrent Electrotherapy to encourage your brain to get into the calm and alert mind state and be less hypersensitive to pain signals coming from your body. It's a bit like a TENS machine but much milder. In my experience it is also much more effective at sorting out poor health issues.
Annya's Acupuncture Clinic is located upstairs, in "The Green Room", close to Stowmarket town centre. The Green Room postcode is IP14 1EF. That gets you to Station Road West. To get into the Union St West carpark from there you either need to turn into the archway (opposite the church) or turn into Gipping Way and from there turn into Union St.

I have been visiting Annya at the Pain Relief Clinic in Stowmarket for various conditions. I found Annya very friendly and professional. Annya performed acupuncture(which left me feeling very relaxed and I often fell asleep!) as well as deep tissue massage. Annya is always wiling to give advice and recommend exercises to do at home. I had no difficulty in getting an appointment, either by phone or text. If Annya was not able to reply straight away, she responded as soon as she could.

I had been suffering from a long-standing neck and shoulder problem and it was suggested by my sports therapist that acupuncture might be helpful. I contacted Annya for an appointment but I was a little worried about what to expect. In the quiet and calm setting of her clinic, Annya put me at my ease and I found the acupuncture, along with the Gua Sha and cupping, a completely painless and very relaxing experience. Although Annya has tried very hard to sort out my stubborn pain, unfortunately the problem is still there. However, she has given me valuable advice on lifestyle changes and has recommended

Annya used acupuncture to treated my lymphodema, which particularly affected my right leg. It helped enormously as Annya treated my whole body and moved the fluid retained from all over my body as well as my legs.
My treatment also helped ease the pain that was being created in my knees by pressure from fluid.

Since having problems sleeping and night sweats I decided to try acupuncture. This was a big deal for me as I really don't like needles. But Annya put me at ease and talked me through each stage. She is very friendly and professional, I find the sessions very relaxing. The treatments work and occasionally I go back for a top up.

I primarily visited The Pain Relief clinic because of increasing frequency of bad migraines. I had previously had a negative experience with acupuncture but Annya's approach made me feel at ease - in fact each session leaves me incredibly relaxed. The migraines have definitely reduced in frequency and severity over several months of treatment. Annya has suggested and introduced me to other treatments though it is the acupuncture I find most beneficial. Advice on diet, general health observations and relaxation techniques have also been helpful. I have been been a regular visitor for a few years

From the excruciating pain of a cracked tooth and getting me off far too many painkillers, to knotted muscles in my neck and shoulders, I've turned to The Pain Clinic on numerous occasions over the years and Annya has always sorted me out. She'll never keep you coming for treatments longer than is necessary and will always provide ongoing advise on exercise and diet to help the ongoing healing process.
I've also recommend others try her skilful needles as an alternative when traditional methods have not worked. Thank you Annya.
