It's OK but very expensive for what it is. Doesn't look like the room had been hoovered in months, no cleaner on the following day, staff were fine and location is pretty good for Shanklin.
Overall not value for money and I would expect there are cheaper better hotels out there if you look. As for paying extra for a sea view?? Really.
Will I be going back anytime soon. NO!!

Tbh I'd read reviews after I book. But have to say my room was nice and clean. Food wasn't available and bar was shut. But that wasn't uncommon in hotels because of staff shortages only issues was walking up the hill from the pier as I'm disabled but that was isn't down to the hotel. Repairs were ongoing in some parts of the hotel which didn't affect my stay. I would definitely stay there again. Good value for money

What can I say that is good about this hotel. Got it ! I checked out.Never saw any staff on reception. Bar was closed no food available as advertised. Never saw a cleaner. As for the mattress I would describe it as 5 inches deep with 80 springs in it because I felt everyone.ive seen homeless people sleeping on better. Avoid like the plague.

I really enjoyed my week's long stay at the Channel View Hotel in Sandown which is just a short walk to the beach and the town. The room was nice but it wasn't without some issues like the toilet seat was broken and hanging off, and the wall mounted TV bracket was loose so the TV would only point at the floor, the rest of the room was nice and the bin was emptied regularly, There was a few things that weren't ideal though like the bar closed early on a couple of nights preventing us from getting a drink, one morning I woke up to find my room door had been unlocked and left open although nothing

A bit Disappointed. At the time of booking, on booking.com, I was asked whether bunk bed for kids or single bed, we chose bunk bed, but it wasn't provided, despite a confirmation email that yes it will be fulfilled.
The staff seems new during check in. He couldn't find documents for our booking and then made me speak to some other person, assuming manager, over phone. Who told me one room number, but this guy at reception gave me keys of another room at the far end of the hotel. Overall below average.
