Greygarth Hall
Greygarth Hall seeks to attract students who wish to pursue their studies to the best of their ability and at the same time participate in the family life of the house, making their stay here as much a home for others as for themselves. Living together goes beyond sharing the same roof. A big bonus to living together with other students is the possibility to make lasting friendships.

The family atmosphere found at Greygarth fosters these friendships. Having meals together or relaxed get-togethers after dinner are a great help to get to know well one's fellow residents. Greygarth Hall offers a range of activities aimed at broadening the residents' perspective and knowledge.
Services
Greygarth provides accommodation for 19 male students in individual study bedrooms with a fully catered meals service. The communal facilities include a comfortable common room, a well stocked library and a computer room. A laundry service is also available. The hall offers a full range of activities, including regular sports, lectures, seminars and outings.
Fees paid are for centrally heated single rooms (some en-suite rooms are available). All rooms have a desk, wardrobe, and shared ironing and laundry facilities area available. There is a communal kitchenette with microwave, a fridge and tea & coffee making facilities, available to residents from 1PM until 5PM.
Greygarth Hall welcomes applications from male students studying for undergraduate or postgraduate degrees at the universities in Manchester, regardless of race, nationality or creed. Applicants resident in Britain are normally offered an opportunity to visit the hall and to have an interview with the Warden.
All standard students' rooms are similar in size and appointments. Each room features: a single bed, desk, chair, lamp, wardrobe, and shelf space as standard. A limited number of ensuite rooms are available. These have all the features of a standard room, plus an ensuite bathroom with a shower. The training room provides residents with a study environment.
Greygarth Hall is an intercollegiate hall of residence for male university students who apply at the beginning of the academic year. It supports the pursuit of academic excellence and all-round development, within a community of university students and researchers. The atmosphere in the house relies upon the responsibility and respect for personal freedom of each resident.

I think a bit of transparency about the organisation that runs the hall is in order.
