Services
From birth to early teens feet are at their most vulnerable, in fact, there are 26 bones in the foot and they do not completely ossify (harden) until around the age of eighteen. A child is ready for their first pair of shoes 'when the child is walking most of the day and wants to walk outside'. At that time the child needs a pair of shoes to protect his or her feet.
We stock a wide range of school shoes from INFANT sizes through to ADULT size 11 (boys) and 9 (girls) in width fittings & half sizes. We cater for ALL width fittings but have a reputation for stocking many narrow/slim fittings unavailable on the high street. Our quality brands include Start-rite, Geox, Ricosta & Bo Bell with a varied range of styles right through to those smart senior school lace-ups.

When I found that the WB shop had closed, I wondered where we were going to get school shoes from! But then I heard about the mobile service from a friend and it was so much easier. Rachael turned up with her swag bag of school shoes and we got my daughter sorted within about 10 minutes from the comfort of our own kitchen 💖💖 She brings a card machine for convenience too. I'd definitely recommend - beats traipsing to town and battling the crowds any day!

We visited 'The Little Shoe Company today and the service was first rate. We booked two appointments for our twin girls. The selection of shoes was good and the extra protection that has been put in place for COVID is excellent and we all felt very safe. We will support this fantastic small business in the future. 👍

Fittings are professional, by accredited personnel. Service is excellent. Covid-19 precautions are sensible and not overbearing (you currently need to pre-book kids fittings). Shoes are high quality from good brands, including some less common ones like geox and ricosta. Prices are fair; not cheap and not exorbitant. Loses one star because small stockroom often means choices are limited, and two visits may be necessary, though I believe a local delivery and doorstep fitting service is also on offer currently.

Bought a replacement pair of the same shoes for my two year old from this company in the next size up, as his feet had outgrown them in 5 months and we'd been very pleased with them. However, the new pair were already in a worse state after 2 weeks wear than the previous pair had been after 5 months. Appalled at being told this was a problem with how my child was using them and that it was clearly a problem with him and not the quality of the item. No offer was made to refund or replace the item.
