The chap that we had our appointment with couldn't be more helpful, and was incredibly knowledgeable, gauging my feet within minutes just by sight alone. Fantastic service as always. Staff take their time to find the right shoes for you, listening to what you have to say about each model and ensuring that they act on your responses.

As The Derby Runner is a specialist running store, we cater for all levels of running, ranging from jogging for fitness to serious marathon running and from track and field athletics to fell running. Established in 1988 by local athlete Pete Calladine and his wife Christine, The Derby Runner is one of the original running-specialist retailers in the UK.
This technology allows our staff to video a runner/walker on our treadmill and then watch it back frame-by-frame on our in store computer to accurately assess their foot-strike. When carrying out exercise involving repetitive foot-strike (running/power-walking/aerobics-type classes), your footwear is the single most important part of your kit.
Our appointment system can also be used to make us a aware of any specific requirements you may have before you visit. For example, a specific product, or requesting to be served by a particular member of staff. Social distancing: We will continue to serve customers in separate seating areas as much as possible.
Using the Adidas miTeam site, you can design and customise your own clothing, footwear and accessories. Choose from a huge variety of sports including Running, Football, Tennis, Rugby and more. Whether you want one pair of customised shoes, or a whole team's kit - this is the site for you. Simply go through the easy-to-follow design process, then choose The DERBY RUNNER as your miTeam retailer.
Start/Finish Arch with or without Star/Finish banners, this comes with a 550w fan but does not include a generator. We will be able to source a generator if needed but there may be a charge for this. Race day signs including; arrows, mile/km markers, car park, please keep out of this area, race registration, caution runners, race in progress and more.

Just want to say a big thanks to Carolyn. Who know I'd been running in the wrong size shoes for years!

I went here to buy a new pair of road shoes and also to look at some trail shoes I was interested in. The lady that served me was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and patient (I bet I was in there for two hours in the end) and took the time to ensure I left with exactly what I was after. Although the road shoes I wanted were a great fit she still took the time to offer a number of different alternatives, and also let me try everything in a number of different sizes to find exactly the right shoe. If you want excellent service and top top advice on your running... visit Derby Runner....I had a manufacturing issue with my most recent pair of running shoes...quick phone call to Derby Runner...all sorted....no problem..new pair sorted and back on the road...👍...plus always book in for the 'Gait' analysis...worth the money ...and will get you tin the correct shoe.... couldn't speak highly enough of Rob...will return

Came to get some running trainers with my dad today and Lauren couldn’t have been more helpful. Not only was she lovely she really listened to everything I said, had running experience, and was very knowledgable about the fit, brands, and styles as well as running in general. Im a loyal customer to this store for my running trainers and today’s experience has meant I will continue to trust derby runner with giving me the best customer service and running trainers :) thank you 😊

It’s rare you got to/speak to a retail store where the staff know so much about the products they’re selling.
