We have created a loving and warm environment with professional staff. Through fun activities aimed to promote development, we encourage and build up our children's self esteem and knowledge. Helping shape them into capable and loving individuals. It had been a dream of Sarah and Joanne's from being young girls to work with children, and.
It had been a dream of Sarah and Joanne's from being young girls to work with children, and their desire to have a positive impact on children's lives grew until the idea and opportunity arose to open Safe Haven. We started by approaching the Princess Youth trust and put a presentation together to hopefully get a grant and put a business plan together to approach the bank for a loan.
We believe that teaching and learning is a partnership between the children, parents and ourselves. The staff at Safe Haven are here to provide experiences that will inspire fun learning opportunities and together with our parents help set our children on a strong foundation for the rest of their lives.
Our Policies and Procedures ensure that staff and parents know how we approach and deal with important issues within the nursery. They outline our views and how we implement them within many aspects of our work. Our policies are available for you to view at your convenience. At Safe Haven Day Nursery we will work with children, parents/carers, external agencies and the community to ensure.
Our priority is to ensure that all our families are protected from illness as much as we can, and our medication policy enables children who may require medication to have it safely administered with parents' consent. We encourage any children that are unwell to stay at home to prevent illness spreading, and we reserve the right to send any children home that we feel are struggling and not coping with the nursery day.

As a parent it can be daunting process to find a nursery where you are confident that your child will be cared for in the same way as they are at home, but I can honestly say that everyone at Safe Haven has been nothing but friendly, accommodating, reassuring and above all they genuinely care about the children. Nothing is too much trouble and… extra steps are always put in place to ensure that my son feels comfortable and happy whilst he is there. His key worker Katy has built such a lovely relationship with him. She always goes the extra mile to meet his needs and makes him feel loved

My daughter started here when she was 2 in October last year, unfortunately she hasn’t gone back this school year as we have relocated and I am absolutely gutted she couldn’t go back😢 The staff are so welcoming and helpful with absolutely everything, they helped me so much when it came to potty training. From the moment I dropped her off for her first day I knew she was in safe and loving hands. Can’t recommend safe haven enough!! Thank you so much to all the staff and especially her key worker Demi, nelly will miss you all lots!

I've used The Den holiday care for my 7yo son recently. He settled extremely well. On his first day, I picked him up for him to ask if I could leave him longer the next day! The staff are friendly, approachable and kind. It's well organised and there's lots of trips. I left my son in other childcare before and he's always been unhappy, so for my… son to ask to go everyday and me leave him longer is brilliant! I feel relaxed and can get on with my working day knowing my sons having a great time and he's happy. Thankyou to all the staff at The Den. Good job! I'd definately recommend the holiday

Safe Haven Day Nursery is just as it says in their name, a safe haven. They have my children's best interests at heart, settling them in at their pace and going out of their way to do so. My little boy struggled to adjust to nursery but the staff handled this is very well, he absolutely loves coming to nursery now. The staff are kind, caring and professional with the children and also the parents. I would recommend them to anyone😊.

My eldest started here at Safe Haven over 4 years ago and now my second child has been in the baby room (tiny tots) for 6 months and she absolutely loves it! I wouldn’t have chosen anywhere else as I know how well the staff care for the children here. They are all amazing at their job and make every effort in getting to know the children to ensure… they meet their individual needs. My little girl is so happy and gets so excited knocking on the door in the morning! The photographs sent via Tapestry are an added reassurance that’s she’s okay and happy during her time there

I have had 3 children that have all been to safe haven, my little one has gone on to nursery now but still cares dearly about who he says is the best teacher ever! He likes his new teacher but will never be a good as nicnic, she has made a huge impact on his life and was wonderful toward myself also i trusted her with my baby and she help the grow into the little boy he is today. Thank you for just being you.

Highly recommend. My son starts big school in September and he will be absolutely sad to leave Safe Haven. cant thank every staff member that has looked after him enough, all the staff are so friendly, keep me updated with things especially on Tapestry and that is a Brill idea for those who work. My son wasnt great with his speech when he started… and the staff supported him loads and now he wont stop chatting 🙈.. perfect opening times for someone like myself and my partner that work full time it also fits around us. 5* all the way. Keep up the great work everyone my son absolutely

I can’t sing the praises of all the staff here high enough. Every member of staff goes above and beyond to make sure my daughter is happy, challenged and taken care of. We really love the communication from the nursery - tapestry updates keep me going at work and the opportunity to go to the stay and plays are a real bonus for us. The stay and play… sessions are always well thought out and I love that the children are involved in the planning and preparation of the stay and plays - it makes her all the more excited to have mummy or daddy there! In short I would recommend the nursery
