We are proud to be a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) Accredited Small Animal General Practice, which indicates that the practice has passed an independent inspection, ensuring high standards of care for pets and peace of mind for pet owners. Further information on the Practice Standards Scheme and what accreditation means can be found on the RCVS website.
As well as consultations by appointment 6 days a week, we work with Hart Veterinary Centre in Bicester to ensure veterinary help is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In the event of an emergency, day or night, please call 01280 703451.
Like Croft Veterinary Centre, Hart Vets is accredited by the RCVS, has the latest technology for diagnosis and treatment of your pets, and have a great team of friendly, qualified and experienced vets and nurses.Hart Vets also has a dedicated team of night nurses meaning cases admitted out of hours benefit from the same continuous high standard of care as they would during the day.

We run an appointment system for our veterinary consultations with 10 minute appointments, or double appointments as needed. Simply give us a phone call and we will try to see unwell animals on the same day or as soon as possible. If we haven't seen your pet before we will first need to register them - this can be done over the phone or online.
Nurses will often be your first point of contact before seeing one of our vets and are available to give advice over the phone on a wide range of topics including nutrition, training and behaviour. Puppy and kitten checks - an initial free appointment to help you when your new pet first arrives. The nurses also run Puppy Parties once a month for new puppies to the practice, generally between their first and second vaccinations.
A pre-anaesthetic blood test may be recommended for older animals before general anaesthesia or sedation to check that this will be safe for them. Advice on whether your pet can have breakfast and if they should continue any prescribed medications will be given when they are booked in. Typically dogs and cats are starved from the previous evening whilst rabbits and other small pets are allowed access to food as normal.
