My teaching philosophy is to always have fun while learning, to set attainable goals for you, the student, and for you to learn through encouragement. In my classes I focus on your own unique style and character to guide you through the learning process to reach your musical goals. My lessons begin with the fundamentals of music (for example tablature, chord structures and finger position) and the instrument itself.
As a member of the Registry of Guitar Tutors (RGT) I offer exams in acoustic guitar and bass guitar. The RGT exams are internationally recognised and range from beginner to Diploma level. There is lots of fun to be had with this little instrument and it is easy to learn to play the ukulele. After only a few lessons you will be able to play some of your favourite songs.

We came to know about Kjell from our friends and after a trial session we decided to go with him. He teaches my 10 year old daughter since last one year. She is making very good progress with her guitar skills and also scored distinction in both her exams. Kjell's has a great quality of moulding himself according to the student he is teaching and tries to brings out the best out of him/her. He makes his students very comfortable during the session and teaches them in a very friendly environment. This helps kids to enjoy their sessions. My daughter always looks forward to her next guitar lesson

My son really enjoys his guitar lessons with Kjell, he's really patient and supportive. I've seen my son's ability to play guitar grow and grow week on week as well as his confidence in being able to sing along whilst playing.
Kjell is always happy teach my son learn songs he is interested in and always gives a few options, he always arrives on time and is quick to reply to any emails I send.
I'd recommend Kjell to anyone, its also very helpful that he's happy to come to our house as well.

My son Daniel has been taking guitar lessons with Kjell for the last couple of months.He absolutely loves his lessons and the way he plays guitar. He has started singing songs while playing the guitar and really excited to perform for his school's talent show. Kjell is an excellent teacher, one of the best I have met. He makes lessons seem easy and holds kids' attention with little pranks and tricks while having a good grasp of the goal that is to be achieved through a lesson. Daniel practices a lot on his own these days and he is only 7 today. I would say that is the result of being inspired by

Kjell has been teaching my son since September. My son asked to start lessons and I had no idea of any guitar teachers. I am so glad to have chosen Kjell. He is very friendly, he knows to get around kids, he is very polite and patient, he has a teaching program which he is happy to change according to kids' musical background and likings. He is always on time and never missed a lesson without giving notice plenty of time before. My son cant wait for tuesdays early evening for the lessons. Kjell plays guitar very nicely but I cant say the same about his singing hahaha. He introduced us to RGT exam

Just started lessons about five weeks ago with Kjell who has been absolutely brilliant. He makes the lessons fun and enjoyable. It was quite daunting being an adult and going back to learn guitar but Kjell really puts you at ease. He is extremely professional and really gears the lessons to songs that are fun and full of energy. Would highly recommend Kjell to my friends and family.

Kjell is everything I had hoped for in a guitar and ukulele teacher for my two teenage sons. He has been absolutely brilliant with them and they have made such a lot of progress in a very short time. It is difficult to get teenagers to start new things and he has done a fantastic job motivating them and encouraging them and they both love their lessons. I was looking for guitar tutor for my daughter and found him through a Google search. My daughter started learning guitar from him 1 year back and she was first timer. She just loved attending guitar lessons. I have to say Kjell is wonderful. Not only is he a talented and skilled guitarist but he is a skilled teacher too!
