Stayed here for three nights, had an excellent time.
Gill and Martin are wonderful hosts and are only a short press of a bell away to help you with whatever you need. The room was airy and well furnished, very comfortable to relax in at the end of a long day walking. You are not limited to just your room though, there is also a well stocked bar and a lounge area for further comfort.
The breakfast was excellent, a choice between fruits, cereal, cooked breakfast and much more. Really set you up for the day. The hotel itself is in a lovely location very near to Looe, only five minutes by car.

Having stayed with Jill and Martin before our stay was relaxing and enjoyable as usual even with the current restrictions. Ideally situated on the outskirts of Looe with bus stop right outside and train stop across the road it’s perfect. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice couldn’t have asked for better. The room was clean and and well stocked with tea coffee and biscuits. If your looking for somewhere to stay in a quiet spot then this is the place to stay

Lovely place to stay and brilliant hosts and staff who could not do enough for us. Location is ideal for visiting the rest of Cornwall by car/train or bus. Plenty of pubs/restaurants in the area but book in advance of your stay as they fill up very quickly any day of the week. Excellent breakfast choice every morning and cooked breakfast to die for.

Our hotel stay was lovely. Our initial trip was delayed several times due to Covid restrictions but Polraen Country house hotel were very helpful in arranging a suitable date and making sure we didn't lose out.
The stay itself was great. The Breakfasts were delicious and people were friendly and welcoming.
Hosts went above and beyond to make sure our trip was a pleasant one.
Thank you ever so much

We stayed 6 nights at polraen House & were very happy with the service, rooms & in particular the very good breakfast & everything was run smoothly considering the current restrictions.
Unfortunately the weather was against us but still managed to find things to do with helpful hints from the hosts.
We would stay again in the future.
