We are faced with a huge increase in the demand for clinical time and medical services in other areas, and so we no longer have the capacity to be able to offer this service in the practice. Ear syringing has been withdrawn by most other GP practices in Highland for some time for the same reasons.

What we can do is encourage self-care for patients; there is evidence that oiling, and also self-irrigation, can work well for a significant number of patients. We have provided the following information to encourage self-care, before accessing ear syringing. If you are invited to attend the Surgery for an appointment could you please wear a face covering.
Services
The Practice Manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology.

The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.Administrators provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries.
If you are ill while away from home or if you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one you can receive emergency treatment from the local GP practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient. You can be registered as a temporary patient for up to three months.
You will not be registered with any one particular doctor, but you can request to see a particular doctor if you so wish, it may just mean a longer wait for an appointment. Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings.
