Unlike many other European countries, the UK does not have a system of 'sworn' translators. Certified translations in the UK are provided by members of professional associations, such as the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

Originally from Russia, I have been living and working in the UK for over 15 years, and I am equally proficient in both Russian and English.

But on the positive side in Russian we only have 3 Grammar tenses - Past, Present and Future (as opposed to more than 12 tenses in English)!
