Hatton Anderson Associates was founded as a partnership in 1977 by John and Chris Hatton, freelance technical translators, and Peter Anderson, manager of a translation agency in the City of London, to supply high-quality technical and specialised translation services to clients in the manufacturing and service industries and professionals such as lawyers and patent agents.
Since we started up in 1977, we are able to offer you the benefits of over 30 years of accumulated experience and expertise in supplying translations and related language services.
Having observed the many technological changes that have taken place in the industry over this time, the development of translation tools such as Trados and translation memory, the growth of the Internet and electronic communications and the spread of global standards, we are ideally placed to guide you and indicate how you can best achieve your objectives while obtaining the maximum value for money.

If you cannot see the language or combination of languages you are looking for, please ask - we have the contacts to cover almost any language. Translations are generally supplied in printed and/or electronic form mainly using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, the de facto standard throughout the world, and can usually be produced by overtyping the original file to preserve the layout or otherwise by creating a similar simplified layout.
We arrange professional interpreters to attend meetings, discussions, briefings, court hearings and so on to provide consecutive or whispered interpreting. Interpreters normally charge for their services on a time basis, usually per day or half-day or occasionally per hour, plus expenses. Although we do not offer simultaneous interpreting we have contacts who will supply the equipment plus the interpreters to use it.
If you need to add a foreign-language soundtrack to a film or video, for interactive training for example, we can arrange for the soundtrack to be translated and recorded in sync with the images by a professional voiceover artist working closely with a recording engineer in a sound studio. We can arrange hire of a studio and have access to a pool of talented male and female voices who cover a wide range of languages.
