We run Open days 2 or 3 times a year for anyone wishing to view the club, try sailing and discuss membership with us. Open Meeting are held annually for each class and are open to non members who sail in that class.

In order to mark and recognise Jim's outstanding service to SSC, the commitment to the Merlin Rocket class, and the love of the sport, a special trophy has been commissioned which has significance to Jim, Merlin sailing, his family and close friends.Terry was a founder member of the club who sadly passed away while sailing his Solo at the club.
Services
We are a friendly club and you are welcome to visit us. When you visit the club please introduce yourself to the Duty Officer in the race box outside, the person behind the galley or ask any club member to introduce you to a Committee Member who will be pleased to give you further help and assistance.
The cruising programme is managed by Les Collier (lescolliershustoke@virginmedia.com). Les will run 3 or 4 outings per year including one or two Try Yachting weekends in the Solent, and a longer weekend to the Channel Islands, Cherbourg peninsula or the South West. The Try Yachting weekends are designed for absolute beginners and are a great way to see if there's an inner Francis Chichester in you just waiting to be discovered!

Didn't actually visit the club but watched them sailing on the reservoir. The reservoir is beautiful. Very nice, but long, walk all the way around.

Friendly club, nice stretch of open water, good club house facilities, wide variety of classes sailed, training courses and taster sessions available (RYA affiliated and approved), hot food available and well stocked bar. Comfortable lounge areas. Suitable for adults and children.
