The Flying Pig Cake Emporium is the partnership of Cathie Sanders and Annie Drew, who design and create bespoke celebration and wedding cakes, cupcakes and iced biscuits for a variety of special occasions. We also provide one-to-one cake decorating or sugarcraft lessons and host cupcake decorating parties for all ages and abilities.
We use high quality, fresh ingredients to ensure your cakes taste as wonderful as they look. Our delicious free range eggs are sourced from Bubbas Barn in Cherhill. We are insured, registered with Wiltshire Council and Food and Safety Hygiene certified. At our studio, located on Church St in Calne, we are able to offer free consultations for occasion cake designs.

Services
Our cupcake decorating parties can be for anyone. Great for children's birthdays, baby showers or hen parties (alongside a glass of bubbly). At our cake studio we are able to host cake decorating parties which may be themed to your specification or, with our guidance and equipment, can simply be a relaxed session where your creative imagination can flourish!
All our cakes are given a 'crumb-coat' of white or dark chocolate ganache prior to being covered with soft fondant icing. This crumb-coating technique is standard for all our cakes to enable a superior, delicious and smooth base for the fondant icing. Should you prefer not to have a ganache crumb-coat, we can create a similar finish using buttercream instead.

The Flying Pig made a lovely cake for my daughter's 21st birthday. Cathy helped me decide on the design of handbags and shoes, the result was outstanding. The cake tasted as good as it looked and everybody said it was lovely. I would highly recommend them to anybody wanting a cake for a special occasion.

The Flying Pig Cake Emporium made a rainbow cake for my daughter's 21st birthday and they did a wonderful job. From start to finish it was a delight to deal with Annie and Cathie, who wanted to get the cake exactly to my daughter's wishes. They worked from photo's she sent them and we were absolutely delighted with the result; it was much prettier… than the photo's. The cake inside was a beautiful rainbow of 6 brightly coloured sponges with butter creme in between each layer; the sponges were light and tasty, not too sweet with the icing in between and very even sizes (Mary Berry watch out
