We are not about making pretty cupcakes, don't get us wrong we love beautiful design, but more than anything we like to create and innovate.

We are delighted to be the in-house baker at Caro Somerset, Bruton, where you can always find our edible delights. CARO is a lifestyle shop, cafe & micro hotel offering objects for life and home sourced from around the globe. Their ethos is to provide a service rooted with knowledge, care and attention.
It is here that we launched our brand. The market in every sense is 'More Than a Market' - it's an exciting, buzzing festival in a day - it offers something for everyone - just like Frome itself. When you visit (whether you're a Fromie or not) you will have a day out like no other, a shopping experience that celebrates independent producers and makers.
Cutting your cake should be a moment of great joy in itself. Don't be worried about how the cake will look after you have cut into it, enjoy the drama and unique experience of sharing the delicious edible decorations and fabulous cake with your friends and family. The real question is how big a slice are you going to cut?
Prices vary depending on flavours, size and intricacy of decorative components. Every cake and bake is individually created in consultation with you to ensure you get exactly what you want. The Bakemonger is my creative outlet, I have firmly swapped yarns, textiles & loom for flour, sugar, eggs & magic. Using edibles as my medium, I strive to create both innovative & delicious design. Food excites me. I love how it is not only essential to our very existence but is social and hugely enjoyable.

I cannot rate The Bakemonger highly enough. The three-tier cake she created for our wedding was incredible; the design encompassed natural seasonal fruit dyes, foliage from our florist and edible origami, and the flavours of the cake itself were amazing. Helen is a gifted designer whose work is contantly evoloving, and she has an unparellelled ability to transform a client's ideas into something that exceeds all expectations. No one at our wedding had ever seen or tasted a cake like it!

Helen created the most stunning Art Deco style cake for our recent Ruby Wedding Anniversary party and it was the talk of the evening!! Not only did it look utterly amazing, the quality of baking and the flavours were exceptional. Helen was a wonderful person to work with, and I really do believe she is a true artistan. The bakemonger made the most beautiful creation I could ever have imagined for our wedding cake!Thank you for the most beautiful wedding cake! It was all the things I loved- it captured my style and it looked completely fabulous in the marquee with all the flowers.
It was also delicious. The rose, cardamom and pistachio was my favourite cake of all time.

There is only one word to describe the lovely Bakemonger and that is MAGICAL! We were lucky enough to secure time in Helen's diary last summer when she created the most amazing wedding cake for my sister's big day. I knew from the amount of Instagram stalking I had done on Helen's page that we were going to get something really special and unique but we could not have dreamed just how extraordinary the cake would turn out to be.
