We ask for two months notice for wedding cakes, and two weeks' notice for celebration cakes. Design ideas can come from various sources, Wedding magazines, books, the internet, every cake is made to your specific requirements.
For wedding cake designs we like to have one initial consultation when the order is confirmed and deposit is taken, and a second consultation to confirm the previous ideas and make any changes, this usually takes place 6 to 8 weeks prior to the wedding.The use of non-edible materials for cake decoration is very increasingly popular.

My company was celebrating its 75th anniversary and the cake was amazing. Most of out guests stopped to take a photo, as Pam had printed an edible company logo, on top of the cake and decorated it with handmade sugared swans, and geese to fit the theme of our party. Pam also made us gluten free cupcakes and vegan cupcakes, so everyone was happy. Pam herself was very professional and easy to work with. I will recommend Cotswold Cakes to anyone having a party or a business function.

We couldnt be happier with the outstanding birthday cakes that have been made for our family. We have bought 3 seperate cakes for our children, each one not a simple design, yet all we have done is send a photo of the idea and it has been created to perfection. Pam made a 2-tiered cake for our Game of Thrones themed engagement party, as well as a vegan and gluten-free sheet cake. From the outset, Pam was extremely professional and patient with us. She was very attentive to our requests and was open to trying new, exotic flavours for the cakes. Her execution of the cake was immaculate, from the design through to all of the flavours. I contacted Pam to make a lemon cake for a 60th Birthday. It was to be in the shape of a Jaguar I-Pace (a car) with a border collie lying in front of the car and a group of candles but not on the cake. Several photos of car and dog followed.
I can only describe what Pam created as sheer genius. The precision of the car, even down to the type of wheels and likeness to our dog was exceptional. The candles rested on raised flower beds, the birthday message was on a green lawn and the car was parked on a cobbled street.
