Dave and Sandra Benson established the business in 1981 selling knitting machines, accessories and yarn. Initially they sold some overlockers. They gradually moved into sewing machines and fabrics after Sandra completed a City and Guilds course in Patchwork and Quilting. Today the shop is devoted to sewing, patchwork and quilting and there are no knitting
