We are a local, family run business based in the Forest of Dean for the since the year 2000. We are based in the town of Cinderford in the Forest of Dean where we have been providing local customers excellent service since the year 2000. We provide a wide range of pet supplies and aim to increase this when possible to ensure our customers are always catered for.

We provide free local delivery on orders over 10. This is through our own in-house drivers and vans, we have been running this service for over 20 years and it is very successful. Standards have slipped at Hawthorns of late. Everything has gone downhill. Staff don't seem interested in helping customers at all. The only thing that is on the increase here are the prices. This used to be a shop with friendly staff, that was good value for money. It's a shame there has been such a drop in standards.

Very impressed. Great customer service. Was kindly told by a lovely lady where to find everything. Great selection of fresh and dried foods! I always buy Kimberley vale meadow hay for my guinea pigs.
I get this hay as it is ' dust extracted ' and this is so much better for my allergies than buying bales of hay from farms.
I also buy 25kg bales of dust extracted kiln dried wood shavings.
The staff are always so helpful and always offer to load the wood shavings into the back of my car.

My puppy had been poorly for 3 weeks with gastroenteritis, we had her on chicken and rice for a week that didn’t help with her loose stools took her to the vets they gave her some medication, slowly put her back on her food which was going straight through her really didn’t no what to give her because everything was going through her. I phoned… hawthorns and explained the situation, they was really helpful and recommended some food and some paste would take 5 days to work but should help her. And to my belief it did, she is so much better back to her normal self I couldn&rsquo
