My name is Richard Angell and I am the owner of Angell Pets. What seems a long time ago now, when I was still in my "teens", I worked in a type of pet shop that seems to be disappearing fast. It's what we call a "traditional" shop. What do we mean by "traditional"? We mean we take customer service as our priority.
I don't know if your experiences of pet shops have been the same as mine but I have found that they fall into three categories. First there's the "pet supermarket", where you help yourself off of stacked shelves and pay at the counter without anyone even trying to assist you (or being capable). A lot of web stores obviously also fit into this category.

Bought a new guinea pig to add to my family and a hutch today and i regularly shop here for my guinea pig supplies and they’re always so friendly, the man who served us was super informative and helpful, great conversation and clearly cares and is knowledgeable about the animals he sells. my favourite pet store by far ❤️

I have always previously bought hamsters from p@h, I was told about Angell pets by a friend and since I was already looking into getting another hamster I decided to check it out. We had a friendly welcome, the man I spoke to was very informative and didn’t pressure us into anything or rush us despite it not being long till closing time. I brought home my hamster (who is yet to have a name 😂) on 18/08/21 and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you angell pets! 😁

Even the review system is a scam just like the shop, the only reason I'm giving a 1 star is because otherwise I cant leave a review, stay away and avoid this shop, very untrustworthy owner and rude, we spent our hard earned money on equipment on the understanding he would get in a reptile for us and then failed to get the pet in. These things happen but then to refuse a refund on the stuff we brought because he couldn't keep his end of the deal.

Went to the shop today-never again!! Were told we couldn't see any of the reptiles, that she, the person in shop, would get anything we wanted to see, out for us. We asked wasn't it poss to view them as we were standing literally in front of them. She said people were not allowed to view due to numbers allowed in shop in shop at any time. Myself and hubby were only ones in shop. Attitude was enough and we said we wouldn't bother or go there again. Do not rate this shop at all. Years ago, was a lovely shop.

Well stocked family run pet store with great service.
There's quite a variety of animals and pet accessories. The selection of dog food is good and they stock some treats I've not seen anywhere else. Our puppy loves the cows' ears!
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to serve you.
