We are a small animal practice in Reading, first established as part of the Nine Mile Veterinary Group set up in 1985. We are passionate about animal care and our skilled team of veterinarians and vet nurses are dedicated to providing the highest quality care for your animals. Because we love animals and strive to provide excellent continuity of care, we are open six days a week and have access to 24-hour emergency care.

Burghfield Veterinary Surgery opened in 1995 and Goring Veterinary Surgery opened in in 2006. Our philosophy is to provide the best standard of veterinary care possible, treating each patient as if they were our own pet. Our excellent facilities often make the difference between life and death, but we also appreciate that compassion and commitment are just as important as the "high-tech" side of medicine.

Highly trained and caring, each of us has a role to play in making our practices special for you to visit with your pet.
Our team of highly dedicated and experienced veterinary surgeons and vet nurses are devoted to your pet's wellbeing. Your pets are always our priority. We all have our own pets and work hard to provide the same service to you that we would want for our own much-loved animals. At our surgeries we provide continuity of care, working with you to provide effective and high quality treatment.

She is responsible for the smooth day to day running of both of our practices and has enjoyed getting to know our clients and their pets over the years. Outside of work her two Jack Russell Terriers, Buzz and Bo, keep her busy- making sure that she is adequately tending to their needs! You can also find her cycling, trying her hand at paddle boarding or at a gig.

I can't recommend Goring Vets highly enough. Michal, Emma and the whole team looked after our cat Oscar (when he was caught in a Fenn trap) as if he were their own. It took a month of fairly intensive care - medication, overnight stays, operation, regular re-bandaging etc all of which came at a price due to lack of insurance but they did everything they could to keep costs down for us, only performing the absolute necessities. They did a totally brilliant job with him (I'm delighted to say he is back to his old self, minus a toe!) and looked after me too under distressing circumstances. They know
