Penguin Pre-school
Penguin Pre-School was established in 1993. The Pre-School was first based at St Pauls Church, then moved to Newtown Community Centre and has now been based at Newtown Methodist Church since 2000. In 1993 the founder of the Pre-School recognised that in this area of the town there was nowhere for children to play together, and this was the reason the Pre-School was established.

The Pre-School was set up as friendly place for parents to leave their children to develop their social skills. The Pre-School to this day prides itself in being a friendly environment, for children to take their first exciting steps into education. All of our Early Years Professionals have been handpicked to suit the needs of the Pre-School, children and families.
Services
Thanks Karen of Bobby Dazzler Cleaning for the superb job they did with their free clean of the outside play area. The Emperors are going to be developing their role play area into their very own elves and the shoemaker workshop to enhance our mathematical development over the next couple of. Remember, every voucher counts towards brand new.
It is our intention to make our setting accessible to children and families from all sections of the local community. We aim to ensure that all sections of our community have access to the setting through open, fair and clearly communicated procedures. We ensure that the existence of our setting is widely advertised in places accessible to all sections of the community.
Our staff are what make Penguin Pre-School what it is, without the hard work and dedication of the staff we would not be here today. Liesel started her career in childcare in 1999, her first job was at Penguin Pre-School as a nursery nurse. She then moved on to work in three other nurseries, as a deputy manager and manager before returning to her roots at Penguin Pre-School in 2011.
