Isle Of Purbeck Golf Club
We are delighted to announce both courses are open and the indoor bar/restaurant facilities are open also. We look forward to seeing you very soon. We are excited to have David aboard to lead the green staff and bring his extensive knowledge and skills to the Isle of Purbeck Golf Club.

David brings with him over 36 years of experience in all aspects of modern course management/equipment and irrigation and is currently employed at Wimbledon Park Golf Club.Currently, there are only 80 Master Greenkeepers worldwide. A very impressive achievement. In addition, we have secured financing to purchase over 270,000 (net) of course machinery which will arrive next month.
Services
A visit here is a must for all golfers; the beginner is catered for on the 9 hole Dene course and the Purbeck Championship course proves an exciting test for even the most accomplished golfer. The Club dates back to 1892, and among the past owners, who were responsible for the extension to 27 holes, were Enid Blyton, the legendary writer of childrens books, and her husband, Dr Darrell-Waters.
The Dene Course is a 9 hole course ideal for golfers of all abilities. Beginners are welcome and the dress code is more relaxed than on the Purbeck Course. It has views over Poole and the 9th hole overlooks a wonderful valley with Swanage nesting at the bottom. Visitors playing the Dene are very welcome to use the clubhouse facilities both before and after play.
Footgolf is available on the Dene course. A full 18 hole footgolf course situated on the Dene Course in the Purbeck Hills with views over Swanage Bay and Poole Harbour. FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY, FROM A FUN ALTERNATIVE TO A DAY AT THE MUSEUM TO COMPETITION IN NATIONAL LEAGUES. Footgolf is played on a golf course using a size 5 football.

Had an INCREDIBLE three course lunch here...
Simple, and absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked in every detail.. no fussy presentation or superfluous additions to the food..
I could not fault it.. 😃👍🏼

One of the best courses in the area and great value for money. Stunning views and the course was in decent shape. The greens were very good if not a little slow and the fairways are all being over-seeded. It looks like they've suffered a bit during the year. Excellent food and service in the club house.

Lovely unique course that will punish wayward shots. Good tees and greens. Some fairways are in need of help but some great views really make it enjoyable.

Lovely views of Sandbanks, Poole, Bournemouth Isle of Wight. Great layout with excellent greens fairways was dry on quite a few but don't let that stop you from visiting.
All members of staff were very friendly and helpful, and few drinks after a game of golf on the terrace with views to die for what a great way to end a perfect day.

The golf course can be difficult if you are playing it for the first time,as there are a few blind holes. However the course is a good test off the back tees. Tees and greens were good but the fairways are struggling a bit but will improve in time. Nice welcoming from the Professional and staff in the club house. Would definitely want to play the course again.

Absolutely fantastic round. The views are phenomenal and the staff really friendly. Nice course, well looked after and challenging for someone who had only played five rounds previously.

Tough course when it's breezy but a lovely track. Typical links greens (slightly longer grass and slower) but pretty true. Staff were helpful and accommodating

Massive shame as course design is great but fairways were unplayable (See pictures).
Clearly zero investment has gone into maintenance in the last few years, as this is not just a recent weather/Covid situation. A real let down as the price was steep and the course condition did not justify it.
The views are stunning, and the course could be amazing, which is why it is such a shame. The greens were quite bobbly, not true, and although the tee boxes were in reasonable condition - that is not really helpful if the rest is below par.
Staff were excellent, really friendly pro in the club shop who
