Following are the top ten features that sets us aside from other camping areas around Swanage. We are central - it's a pleasant 7 minute level walk across the park to beach, town centre, pier and station - so no traffic and parking hassles, 8 per day Council parking fees, or designated driver issues as it is an easy walk to all shops, pubs and restaurants.
Cars are separate to the camping area - no worries about the kids playing, radios or engine noise (wheelbarrows provided to help you move your stuff the 30 meters or so). Free facilities - including hot showers, lilo pumping, freezer, fridge and electric points.

Set in a secluded 4 acre area surrounded by high hedges, backed by open public land and away from the nearest roads or houses, the 'Swanage Bijou Camping' site at Kirkwood Park is by far the closest camping area, and an easy level walk to Swanages town centre with shops, bars and restaurants, the lovely sandy beach with safe swimming, the Swanage Steam Railway station, and the pier.
Vehicular access on to the camping field itself is not allowed unless exceptional circunstances prevail, such as illness or accidents. You shall therefore need to carry your tent and effects on to the site from your vehicle (from 20m up to approximately 40 meters). This is quite a simple task on mostly level gound and free wheelbarrows are provided to assist you with this.
