To start with, as a general public pay and play player, I felt the club was trying to make me feel less than they are, by trying to say my trousers, shirt and shoes weren't good enough. Very snobby despite having played many courses over decades. The first and last time I will visit. Not a nice place. Made to feel very unwelcome and like I didnt belong. Also put in amongst 4x four balls as a pair with my son. Subsequently it took 4.5 hours to play a round. Very disappointing as some club members weren't much better than us. All in all not a good experience.

Pleasantly surprised by the challenge the course presents. A few driveable par 4s make for an enjoyable round. There are quite a few blind tee shots starting from the 8th hole that require bells to be run by the group in front before teeing off and the course is quite hilly. However that didn't detract from the lovely round of golf. Would recommend everyone to have a knock at Wareham Golf Club.

Course was in generally poor condition, with exposed soil and long grass on fairways and tees. The greens were good but slow for a hot day. Tees were also badly marked for visitors...not impressed.

Good welcome from assistant pro. Hired electric trolleys which were needed as course gets very hilly after first and second holes. Suggest a buggy for those not so fit. Condition of course excellent. Greens super with good coverage of grass and good pace. Clubhouse and food very good. Friendly staff. Can highly recommend if in the area. Booked through Golfnow, £30 per head after 2pm, excellent value.
