Services
Our doctors cannot see patients in the surgery all day; they have many other duties. For example, after the morning surgeries there are home visits for the sick and housebound. They check and sign hundreds of repeat prescriptions and sick notes which have been requested. There are frequent telephone calls asking for advice.
General practice is under considerable pressure as a direct result of the current challenges we face with continuing to deliver a service to patients at the same time as coping with the consequences of this virus. It has been wonderful to see so many communities coming together to provide support for one another during this unprecedented time.
Patients on regular medication do not always need to see a doctor for a repeat of their medicine. You will be issued with a computer slip attached to your prescription. When further supplies are required please TICK THE ITEMS YOU REQUIRE on the request form and put it in the letter box marked REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS.

Lovely surgery. 6 disabled bays outside practice, all other parking double yellows in the area, unless you cheekily park in Tescos (wink, wink). Doctors are mostly great (there are 2 that I don't care for as I feel they don't really listen to you) but they are just 2 of a great team. Receptionists are very nice and if you treat them courteously with a smile, they are very caring and helpful. Like everything in life, you get what you put in, the receptionists are doing a tough job and being faced by a lot of miserable people all day, they don't deserve abuse just because you or I are in pain and

I have recently moved to the area and I am truly so happy to have found this GP practice. So kind and friendly. All the reception staff are very nice too , and can't do enough to help ! I couldn't be happier. My previous GP I thought was good but I have to say so far these guys are very very good ! 10/10

I have just spoken to a receptionist called Michelle who I can honestly say is the friendliest and most helpful receptionist of any where I've ever had to deal with, thank you to Michelle. Having recently moved to this practice it puts my old one to shame and im very much enjoying how easy its been to deal with any one or get an appointment.

This is without doubt the best practice I have ever used, and at 78yrs old and moved around a lot that is saying something. The receptionists are always courteous and helpful and patient and with the age group, including myself who are getting on a bit, who live here that is a bonus. Without exception every Dr that we have ever seen has been brilliant, in fact we both recommend everyone that we have seen. Just remember they are all doing a difficult job under extreme pressure and stress ,particularly at present with Covid 19 around, treat them decently as you wish to be , it'll pay you dividends

Don't waste your time. Shocking service. 45m wait over appointment time, no apology and then doc refused to carry out the simplest of requests but rather throw antibiotics at me. No thanks. Just take the thorn out my finger like doctor at charminster surgery. "Oh sorry we don't do that here!" Incompetent and rude as well Spanish doctor. Also gave me forms to fill out to register as I'd ring beforehand to check I was in catchment area and was told yes, I arrive and then I'm told I'm outside catchment. Then people ask me why I have a stand off paying my NI!

Poor client service. I arrived a couple of minutes late for my appointment due to heavy traffic and no receptionist being present. Despite these reasons, Dr Every refused to see me even there were no other patients in the surgery’s waiting room.
