Dunbar Garden Centre
Dunbar Garden Centre first opened its doors in 2013 and in doing so became the second in our group of three family owned garden centre. The first, Berwick Garden Centre, began trading in 1983 and Plantsplus Garden Centre, located just north of Newcastle, was added to the group in 2016.

The large space and open surroundings were perfect for the construction of a large, spacious garden centre with dedicated Restaurant, plant area, pet department and clothing.Dunbar was purpose built and an integral part of the centre is our large restaurant seating 200 covers.

Nice garden centre with good selection of plants. Cafe is very reliable, with friendly service and good quality savoury food and cakes. Can be busy at times but the food is always worth the wait!

Honestly a bit disappointed, came in today for my daughter's birthday lunch, was sat down and told it would be a 20 minute wait to order which was fine, we then proceeded to wait for 45 minutes while numerous tables around us (that had came in and been seated after us) had placed and received their orders, my daughter is very disappointed as she loves the cafe but now we have had to leave unfed as have birthday plans.

We have known Dunbar Garden Centre for 5 years now. During that time it has expanded and improved in every department. It now has a class-leading cafe, an extensive, undercover, plant and shrub sales area, an outdoor sales area for larger items like sheds and indoor departments for tools and other gardening necessities, clothes, food, household items and pets. Something for everyone then! The garden centre is also close to a large Asda store and petrol station. Unsurprisingly, we visit frequently.

Lovely garden centre, spent a while here browsing around. There are lots of lovely ornaments, gifts, clothing, food and beverages, gardening equipment and plants. There is also a pet department selling various birds, rodents and also exotic pets as well as toys, treats, collars, leads, cages and various other pet requirements. There was a lovely cafe.

We visited today to see Father Christmas. We go every year, it's a great experience. Father Christmas is always very chatty. I was given a young evergreen. It was a lovely touch. My children loved the experience, even though it was a little different to previous years. I liked that the children were allowed to remove their masks to make it easier to talk.
