Babel School Of Dance
We are a friendly school providing children of all ages with classes in performing arts. Whether you are looking for Classical Ballet, Tap, Acrobatic Dance, GCSE or A Level Dance, we are sure we have something to suit you and your child. Our ethos is to bring dance to children in a warm, friendly but disciplined environment.

All children are treated equally, taking into consideration individual capabilities and personalities. For the Under 5's we have fun classes using feathers and pom poms and a Preschool AcroDance class. Once, children reach the age of 4, there is more open to them they can do Tap, as well as continuing with Ballet and Acro if they so choose.
Services
We have various measures in place to keep everyone safe and the timetable has been restructured. We are hoping this will be a temporary measure and full services will resume. We have two venues where we teach our dance classes - Heston and Hayes. At Heston the venue can be found at the Community School and the Methodist Church and at Hayes & Harlington we use the local Community Centre.
Below you will find our dance timetable for 2021/2022 : Ballet, Preschool AcroDance and Acro classes for children of all ages. Please contact us if you would like to find out more about joining our dance classes. There is a car park at the community centre, the entrance to which is on Keith Road. The barrier will lift automatically as you approach.
There is parking in front of the church and in the school. There is a traffic light controlled crossing between the two buildings. Young children are always accompanied when crossing the road, if they need to do so to get from class to class. When arriving for your first time, it is advisable to come about 5 minutes early to complete registration and be escorted to your class.
Our qualified and RAD Registered Teachers are Sara Ridley and Charis Ridley BA Hons (Dance Education). We offer classes from the age of 2.5 years. Our Tots Dance Class* at Heston gives a fun, music and movement class for little ones, introducing them to the wonders of dance with the use of pom poms, feathers and scarves.
We have recently introduced the ISTD Contemporary syllabus and hope to enter our first exams in 2022. Students who study GCSE and A Level Dance at Babel also take this class as part of their course to enhance their technical skills and choreographic knowledge. This is an excellent class for building core strength, flexibility and stamina.

Babel School of dance is an amazing, inclusive dance school which accepts anybody and teaches them not just how to dance, but a way to express yourself like no other. With the teachers kind and the students brilliant and eager, this is a dance school like no other. I wouldnt listen to any other review that promotes bad views of this incredible dance school. So many styles, so many ways to express yourself and feel like you belong.

My son only ever attended 4 sessions, although the dance teacher was lovely and pleasant, my entire experience was made bitter, when we moved from the area and my son stopped going for his class. Never in 12 weeks' time was I contacted by the any staff to check on him and ask why he didn't make it to the class. After 13 weeks of his absence I get an email from the school principal demanding £33.00 as per their terms and conditions (which was at no point highlighted to me or brought to my attention at the time of issuance). On top of which the following email even threatened to take me to court
