Ocean Sports Tuition have been successfully delivering high quality RYA tuition on the south coast and the Solent since 2004. We started from humble beginnings as a RYA Windsurfing School in Mudeford Harbour, finally evolving into an RYA Advanced Powerboat Centre and RYA Yachtmaster Academy.

We did our Powerboat Level 2 course with Oceansports Tuition. We had a great instructor who made us feel relaxed and had a fun teaching style! We also did our VHF SRC there and we had a similar experience, great instructor, professional but relaxed and patient. Thanks to Andy and the team for a fantastic and professional experience, we will certainly use Oceansports again, highly recommend!

I have just completed my level 2 powerboat course with these guys and it was 5*.
The tuition was delivered in an relaxed style by Andy Hall who is clearly very passionate about boats, the real world knowledge he imparted was invaluable. The course was far more practical than theory which is great as I learn from doing rather than in a classroom, we were on the boat about 90% of the time.

Having spent the last two days undertaking a RYA Power Boat 2 course I can say that this is without doubt one of the most professionally run businesses I have experienced.
Our instructor, Andy, was clearly a very knowledgeable individual and had the ability to communicate this knowledge clearly and in a manner that made learning easy.
Nothing was overlooked and I left feeling very confident and looking forward to undertaking further instruction with Ocean Sports as needed.

Completed my Powerboat Level 2 course and RYA Helmsman course over four days mid April. Andy Hall managed the Powerboat course and delivered a great level of knowledge and experience - conveyed in a great, easy going manner. Nothing was too much trouble. Then two days Helmsman course with Andy Murray the Principal - again a great relaxed style of tuition that gave me great confidence. I cannot recommend enough. I also completed an Essential navigation and VHF radio course through Ocean Sports - again first class - they even arranged some fantastic weather! I will be using them again for Day Skipper

Excellent company here. My wife and I did our Powerboat Level 2 here this week. If you’re like me and quite fearful of anything water related, but want to push out of your comfort zone, these are the perfect people to do that with.
Taught us both loads, were hugely understanding, gave us huge amounts of time for everything, were particularly positive and happy to help with anything before and during the course.
Our instructor Ramos was superb, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly. Great for those with fears.

This is really a first class outfit. Great location, great boats in good condition. I have to mention our instructor Alex. He was very clear and calm in his instruction. Coming alongside can be stressful for the inexperienced helm, it isn't enough to know the theory, you have to have the right attitude - especially if things don't go as planned. Alex's calm manner helped build confidence and capability in his students.
