Welcome to the website of Hythe Sailing Club, based on Southampton Water on the outskirts of the New Forest in Hampshire. We are a family friendly club which is run by its members for it members. We have an active Dinghy, Cruiser/Yacht, Kayak, Radio sailing and Social programme - whether you're interested in racing or something more relaxed!
We welcome new members and have this year reduced the joining fee and adopted an optional direct debit system to pay for Membership fees and now Mooring and Pound Fees over 8 months making getting onto the water more accessible and affordable for all!

Services
With a mixture of cruiser, dinghy and motorboats Hythe Sailing Club provides a friendly environment for all ages that have an interest in sailing and boating. Our membership of about 250 includes family, single, juniors and associates equating to about 400 members in total. There is a thriving junior section which teaches youngsters from aged 8 how to sail and also have fun doing it.
The club has an active sailing scene for both cruisers and dinghies. The sailors at the club are a friendly bunch who are always keen to promote more participation. So, if you are a novice or an experienced sailer, come along and join in. The club has a number of sailing dinghies that are available for recreational sailing and racing in club events, including Wayfarers, Picos and Fevas.
Here you will find electronic copies of documentation, details of the race programme and details of previous race results. RULES: All races will be sailed under the current ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing, the RYA Prescriptions, these instructions and addenda, and class rules where applicable. All boats MUST comply with IRCS (collision regulations) at ALL times (see RYA publication G2/95).
During 2018 the Club introduced a Radio Sailing Section to support the more traditional sailing activities available to Club members. This follows the lead of other, and in some cases of very prestigious Yacht Clubs who have recently introduced radio sail boat racing to their activities. The Club has chosen the Dragon Force (DF) 65 as the class boat.
We organise three different types of sailing events, alongside the race programme for dinghies and cruisers. An explanation of these are below. A saunter is a day sail to a local destination in your dinghy or cruiser. In 2017, these events were very well attended and after a short sail, club members and their guests usually met up to go to a local pub or restaurant to have a meal.
