We already have a RIB but it wasn't until I nearly damaged it trying to park in windy conditions that I knew I needed some proper training! Our instructor was really patient and took us through loads of scenarios - I feel so much more confident and can't wait to take out my RIB again!
The week was nearly all "boat based" so there were lots of opportunity to practice the techniques hands-on and the environment was further enhanced with individual cabins and a very well provisioned galley."Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to become an Urban Truant. Just heard the great news that I have passed my Coastal Skipper Theory online with Urban Truant. It was a hard slog so I am thrilled. I would definitely recommend this course. Brilliantly set out and very user friendly. The course material was probably more thorough than in a classroom situation. It has certainly kept me busy for quite a few months. Thank you!

HIGHLY recommend Urban Truant for online theory courses. An excellent training portal backed by an incredibly friendly and dedicated team. They have gone all out to help where they can and I feel as if I'm practically in a classroom! It's great.
Despite Covid and Christmas/New Year break they have been so fast to respond to questions and mark the exams 😁

Just completed my RYA VHF / SRC exam with Urban Truant as already had my Level 2 Powerboat license. I’ve joined the UT Rib Club so I can charter one of their lovely Highfield RIB’s. My induction training and… boat familiarisation with Alyce was very thorough and I enjoyed my first evening ride up the Hamble River. Great value and immaculate, well-equipped boats with quiet Honda engines. Looking forward to my next charter!

I have just completed the RYA Day Skipper Theory and Practical certification with Urban Truant and I have to say it was a fantastic company to deal with, one key thing for me was the low student to instructor ratio that just allowed the 5 days practical to work really well with lots of opportunity to gain valuable experience without feeling rushed or having to wait your turn for very long at all. Thoroughly Recommended
