The Broomfield Bowls Club is situated on Hedge Lane just before the Mintern Close flats and diagonally opposite the Recreational ground. On the W6 bus route. We meet every Tuesday and Friday evenings for a roll up from 6.50pm We start playing at 7pm and after 12 ends we retire to a well stocked bar for refreshments and socialising. Tea and biscuits are also available. The Club has a more competitive element with many players competing in County and National competitions.
Services
Prior to 1952, there was situated at 85a Hedge Lane, Palmers Green, a large (rather noisy) engineering factory and foundry that specialised in making enamelled metal signs. With the introduction of more modern materials and technical skills there became less and less demand for these signs, and the factory closed down.
The Broomfield Football Club was established more than a hundred years ago in 1911, today it plays in the equally historic Southern Amateur League; the club is also affiliated to the Amateur F.A. Our home pitches are located at Hazelwood Sports Ground in Palmers Green, North London; we have our own clubhouse with catering and bar facilities, providing both a sporting and social environment.

Loud and noisy club. Absolutely no consideration shown towards people living in the surrounding area. Constant hollering and swearing can be heard by the club members who are there playing bowls. Even better, the groundskeeper will mow the bowling green with a very loud petrol mower just gone 7am in the morning!
