I started sailing with BOSS a long time ago. They have subsequently trained my wife and a third generation in our family. There is no finer school and I would recommend them without further thought. There are no short cuts with their training and anyone stepping off a boat knows that they deserve the achievement that they have gained. Thank you to the BOSS Family.

Our 14 year old son had a brilliant time recently on the Competent Crew course for young adults. He loved it. Although he was a bit nervous about being the youngest and going on his own, he was having a great time by the first evening. Thank you so much. The staff were also really helpful before the course with answering emails and queries.

2 day Competent Crew Course
I had such a fantastic 2 days, Nik was a brilliant Skipper.. we all had such a great time! As a complete novice on the water, he shared his wealth of knowledge and made me feel comfortable in my new situation, my crew mates were truly great company, it was a solid crew and a treat of a first adventure in the sailing world!
Thanks to Nikki for all of her help, reassurance and question answering leading up to the voyage.. it was all very needed and appreciated.

Channel Islands cruise was a very enjoyable way to log another 250+ miles. Ruaraidh (Rory), our BOSS skipper, was excellent. The boat was safely maintained but was due for a little TLC. The onboard provisions could be better but there were ample opportunities to eat out. I would use BOSS again primarily due to the quality of the instruction and crew management style of the skipper. This was a good sailing experience.

BOSS is a well known brand and used to be a leading sailing school. However, it seems that they decided to stop investing: the boats are outdates and badly maintained (the one I did my course on broke down several times in 5 days no refund or apologies offered) and their account with the fuel berth was negative so we couldn't get more fuel when we needed it. The school also pays its instructors below market level so you get whoever is not engaged with a better paying school. There are some great and knowledgeable people working for the school but in general any customer has to accept the
