Rosedale Abbey is a stunning, peaceful village full of natural beauty and is located midway between Pickering and Castleton. It is in the middle of the spectacular valley of Rosedale, which is the direct centre of the North Yorkshire Moors. The village is rich in history and used to be the site of a Cistercian Priory inhabited by a small group of nuns, and remains of the building are available to view.
Walkers can enjoy the beauty of the historic Rosedale Abbey set within the rolling hills. The village has great amenities with pubs, a church, an art gallery, tea room, glass studio and village green. The village also enjoys an annual show in mid-August, one of the oldest of its kind in North Yorkshire.

Another lovely stay on this site. The staff went above and beyond to site me where I had stayed before just metres from the stream. Totally immaculate facilities as usual. If you've not been before I strongly recommend it for peace and tranquility at this time of year. Rained a bit but that didn't spoil out stay, its late Sepember and England after all. Lovely scenery and great local pubs serving lovely food at quite reasonable prices. Genuinely couldn't of asked for more. 30 years on and off and never disappoints. Thank you again to the Rosedale Abbey staff 😁

Stayed here in various tents and caravans with the family since before I could walk. This year me and the pregnant wife decided to go for one of the cottages for a bit more comfort. We chose the Hayloft and we were very impressed. We can't fault the cottage at all, it was clean, it has everything we needed, the furniture/fixings were a decent quality.
The site overall was as lovely as ever with the same stunning views as always!
The only negative comment we could make would be the door handles/locks to get into the toilet blocks. They were a bit fiddly for the younger people in our group to use

Just come back from a week in rosedale caravan park. It is a very friendly site with lots of walks. We have a tourer caravan. The views from van are lovely very picturesque. Showers blocks are very covid… friendly. People on the site always have time to talk to you. It was very relaxing. It’s very central to a number of places. ie whitby Scarborough Helmsley Pickering. Our only complaint were the cobbles on the hard standing pitches. Dont know how many times we cockled over. Maybe could do with a roller over them. Thankyou rosedale caravan park 😁
