Services
At Lakeside we have a fantastic selection of new facilities for our guests, both indoors and outdoors. There are several peaceful communal areas available for our residents to see family or friends in, or to just relax with other residents, enjoying the country scenery and the good company. We have a treatment room for services such as:- Hairdressing, Chiropody, Manicures, Pedicures & Massage.
Lakeside place a big emphasis on meal times which provides a great opportunity for socialising whilst enjoying homemade tasty food in a relaxing environment. We pride ourselves on providing nutritious home cooked foods, we offer a wide variety of meals and welcome suggestions from individuals. We offer selections of meals every day and are always happy to accommodate any dietary needs.
Lakeside is an established residential home for the elderly. It is situated a few miles from Okehampton Devon. Lakeside offers extensive views over the surrounding grounds, which includes lawns, flowerbeds and lakes. The lakes are surrounded by natural meadows and woodland, which are home to some of Devon's rare and most beautiful flora and fauna.
Lakeside has developed our working practices around understanding the often sensitive and emotional aspect of entrusting us with your care or the care of a loved one. We believe that care and dignity come hand in hand and recognise that everyone has different needs. We will ensure you have help and support whilst maintaining as much independence as possible.
There's nothing worse than having nothing to do. All the staff are happy to assist you with activities of your choice and to introduce you to new interests. Scrabble, film nights, Alexa, gardening, trips to museums, shopping centres or other places of interest. Of course, it's entirely up to you how you spend your time and how many activities you choose to join.

I recently visited a friend living at Lakeside. Iwas most impressed by the helpfull and friendly attitude of the Staff. My friend appears very happy and contented and speaks highly of her care. I was offered a drink, and was brought a tray with coffee in a cafeteria for my self and teapot etc for my friend - plus a slice of cake each! Lovely. A very enjoyable visit. Congratulations
