Services
We wholeheartedly believe in helping people to continue to live a full life as they get older, supporting them beyond their medical needs with exceptional care that enables and empowers. This has been our guiding principle since we established Peninsula Care Homes in 2002. We now operate five care homes across Devon, offering a choice of residential care, nursing care and dementia care in both city and countryside locations.
Helping you to feel safe and at home is our priority - and every single member of staff has an incredibly important part to play in this. Our team are kind, compassionate and truly believe in making a positive difference, often going that extra mile. They take the time to get to know you well, working in partnership with you to provide the right support, based on your individual needs.
Peninsula Care Homes is a family-owned group, providing residential, nursing and dementia care at locations across Devon. As a family run and owned business we avoid the institutionalised feel found in some of the larger care home chains. Our management team is very much present and involved with our homes, creating strong working relationships with the staff and getting to know the needs of our residents.
Our five care homes each have their own unique character. Situated in Exeter, Paignton, Plympton, Denbury near Newton Abbot and Moretonhampstead, on the edge of Dartmoor. They offer you the choice of city, countryside or coastal locations. Each of our South and East Devon care homes is designed carefully to help you maintain as much independence as possible.
Bramble Down gives you an idyllic countryside location. The home looks out over rolling farmland just outside Denbury, a beautiful village located between Totnes and Newton Abbot. This tranquil setting is reflected inside the nursing home, which has been purpose-built to offer accessible and spacious accommodation for up to 32 people (registered for 40 if people wish to share).

I'm a foot health practitioner, I've been visiting this beautiful home for almost 3 years. I know you shouldn't have favourites, but this is mine!
Spotlessly clean, happy, knowledgeable staff and plenty of them.
Great activities team, residents always busy, happy, clean, looked after and most importantly loved.
Very well led, great management.
In fact I can't wait to move in!
Would certainly recommend Parklands.

My grandmother lived here for a few years and I was always warmly welcomed when I visited by the staff. My grandmother said the food was varied and tasty. She seemed to be very well cared for with lots of different activities to keep her entertained from the hair dresser to the animals visit. There was a nice garden which she could look out on to which reminded her of home.

My dad stayed here for a couple of years. The building is lovely, clean and bright The residents are clean and cared for. . The careers and cleaners are really nice, sympathetic and honest. The food sometimes leaves a lot to be desired. Tinned tomatoes and boiled sausages not good. Chewy chops not great for residents with dentures and no strength to cut them up. We moved dad eventually because he needed more care. But he was happy enough here. We visited him most days taking him out often for coffee or out to lunch. I would say to sum up. Lovely place but let down by the food.
