St. Mary's Private School in Henley-on Thames, Oxfordshire has a rich tradition of providing exceptional education to children for over 90 years. St. Mary's approach reaps rewards, with results from academic yearly progress tests consistently exceeding the national average in all core subjects.
St Mary's School is a community that encompasses pupils, teachers and parents, where children learn in a caring and stimulating environment. When I'm asked to describe St Mary's, one of the first words that comes to mind is nurturing.

For close to a century we've been instilling a love of learning for life in the children we welcome into the St Mary's School community. St Mary's was founded in 1926, at which time there were just 44 pupils.
In the 90 years since, we've gone from strength to strength and despite growing to around 150 pupils, have maintained small class sizes and the welcoming, nurturing community atmosphere that has always been such an important feature of life at St Mary's.In 2006, we became part of the Cognita Schools Group, who have continued to support us in the creation of a stimulating, exciting and nurturing school.
In the 90 years since, we've gone from strength to strength and despite growing to around 150 pupils, have maintained small class sizes and the welcoming, nurturing community atmosphere that has always been such an important feature of life at St Mary's.In 2006, we became part of the Cognita Schools Group, who have continued to support us in the creation of a stimulating, exciting and nurturing school.
Our academic results highlight the quality of the education we provide and are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our pupils and staff. We closely monitor all of our pupils as they progress through the school and work hard to create a nurturing learning environment that challenges every child as they develop.
The quality of the education and teaching we provide was described as outstanding in our last inspection. You can read the full report here. Our most recent inspection by the School Inspection Service (SIS) was highly complimentary about the breadth and depth of our curriculum, the standard of our teaching and the happy and stimulating learning environment we've created at St Mary's.

My daughter has attended here since she was in lower nursery - and we have been absolutely delighted with the school. Strong leadership and positive engaged teaching staff drive a well-rounded and nurturing experience for the kids. My daughter is happy, confident and has achieved success in her exams for secondary school. I couldn't be more happy with our several years here as part of the St. Mary's family.
