Services
At Chestnut Osteopathic Practice, we believe in treating the whole body rather than treating an injury or medical issue in isolation. That's why we offer an extensive range of services to help improve movement and function. At Chestnut Osteopathic Practice, we hear your story and take a detailed history.
There is no need to consult your GP before visiting us, although you may choose to do so. Osteopaths are classed as 'primary care physicians', which means you can consult us without approaching your GP beforehand. While we do not have the authority to prescribe drugs or painkillers, we are able to provide off-work certificates/sick notes if necessary.
You will be asked about your problem, your lifestyle and medical screening questions. We will then use our highly refined examination, palpation and observation skills to reach a diagnosis. We will start your tailored hands-on treatment program and give you the advice to start your journey back to wellness.

I was recommended to visit Chestnut Osteopathic Practice by my GP when I had issues with arm and neck pain. Ruki saw me very quickly and within a few weeks I was feeling much better. I still keep visiting every 8 weeks to keep myself pain-free - I know if I don't do that my symptoms begin to return. I'd recommend Chestnut Osteopathic Practice to anyone with aches and pains, it really does work. Don't keep moaning about it, do something about it!

Been coming here for 5 years or so. Absolutely excellent. Initially with very painful neck and shoulders which needed intensive work. I am now pain free and just come in every 6-8 weeks for 'running maintenence'. Ruki is very professional and explains what I can do at home to help my back inbetween visits. Clean, good parking and a nice waiting area. Prices vary depending on the person you see. I find it very gentle though have had some manipulation of bones done also...which was fine and relieved a lot of tension. I find it very convieient and relaxing. My daughter also came here after her birth
