You will need your biggest club here. A long drive up the left hand side will give you a chance to get home in two shots, but there is a ditch short of the green to catch the mishit second shot or a bunker on the right if you don't quite make the green. A good drive needed to clear the trees lining the right hand side of the fairway to get to the right hand dogleg.

This is a beautiful, well-tended course, and a bargain at £25 a round. The backdrop is the Brecon Beacons. The pro shop staff could not have been more helpful and were happy to allow my seven-year-old daughter to accompany me without charge. We had a great round - and would recommend hiring a buggy (£30). Good driving range and putting green too.

In my opinion (and that of my 2 fellow golfers) , the course is possibly the best we have played for a long time. Every hole is pleasant on the eye with either different trees or flowering plants , throw in a couple of water features and it is lovely. The course itself gives a good test with undulating fairways , well placed bunkers and quick greens a stray shot is difficult to retrieve back to the fairway. This course requires a little thought on approach shots to the green. The clubhouse has friendly staff and the club shop is well stocked and welcoming. We will definitely return and highly recommend
